Major win for Roselands FC’s Bennett Park

23 Dec 2021 by Roselands Football Club

Ambitious Canterbury District Soccer Football Association side Roselands FC embarked on an early Christmas present after securing a $48,000 Grant thanks to the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership (CBP) going towards the vital upgrade of the club’s home ground Bennett Park.
The Grant will assist in the upgrade of Bennett Park’s amenities (toilets and change rooms) as well as putting work around security lighting around the Clubhouse.
Celebrating 50 years of football with Roselands FC embarking on a major milestone in 2022, hardworking and passionate Club Treasurer Kylie Kegg and Club President Luca Circelli were ecstatic with the news Bennett Park was set to receive a decent facelift for the upcoming Grassroots season.
“This is a huge win for us at Roselands FC as it will mean that all our participants will be able to utilise a cleaner and safer amenities block when work is complete.
“We want to thank the local Canterbury City council as well as CDSFA for their assistance with this as we prepare for what will be a monumental year as our club celebrates 50 years of existence in 2022.”
The Football NSW facility audit identified that four in five amenity buildings in NSW are not gender neutral. This change room upgrade will mean suitable change rooms for all genders.
Inclusive Football Facilities is also another key pillar in the NSW Football Infrastructure Strategy. Inclusive facilities are a crucial aspect for the largest team based sport in NSW and Australia.
With the FIFA Women’s World Cup only 18 months away, change room upgrades will be the perfect addition to Roselands FC to ensure they can provide a safe and secure place for females to prepare for training and games.
